Men's Swim & Dive Finishes Second at ECAC Championships

CDT Brady Almand '20The Army West Point Men's Swimming and Diving Team came in second at the ECAC Championships with a total score of 613.5 Navy won the three-day meet with a score of 754.5, while Marist rounded out the top-three, in a field of 21, with 398 points. Jack Venker posted a fourth-place finish in the 1650 free after recording a time of 15:34.19. The 100 free was highlighted by Billy Webber's fourth-place time of 44.84. Sean Martin (44.85), Graham Ungrady (45.44), Josh Zock (45.55) and Nick Isenhower (45.57) followed Webber and rounded out the field in the A-Final. Brady Almand notched the top time for the event win in the 200 breast at 1:59.84. Ty Dang also placed inside the top-three, coming away with a third-place finish at 2:00.76. The meet came to a close once Kevin Doo, Webber, Ungrady and Martin won the 400 free relay with a time of 2:58.21. "It was a great weekend at the ECAC Championships," head coach Mickey Wender said. "Our two runner-up finishes against some very talented teams was well earned. Our young team learned a lot. This will be a building block for the future. I'm proud of the way we performed." Several Cadets will trek to Cleveland, Ohio, from March 14-16 to compete in the CSCAA Collegiate Classic hosted by Cleveland State.
