The Army West Point Men's Tennis Team capped off a stellar weekend with two more sweeps Sunday at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Black Knights (5-9) defeated both Fairfield and Fairleigh Dickinson 4-0 to end an undefeated two days. "It was a very important weekend," said Head Coach Jim Poling. "We had to get our guys feeling what it's like to win matches again. They played well, they fought, and they had confidence. We're now looking forward to going to California to play three teams out there, so this weekend was a big step forward for us." The three shutouts over the last two days are the first of the year for the Black Knights. Army moves to 8-1 all-time against Fairfield. The Black Knights now hold a 16-1 advantage all-time versus the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson. Army won its seventh and eighth doubles points of the year. Cow Myles Conlin earned his sixth win of the spring season from the No. 1 position and also provided the clinching point against Fairfield. Freshman Diego Huttepain went 3-0 this weekend in singles play. Read more.
