CDT Purdy '21 Speaks to H.S. StudentsCDT Lucas Purdy '21, recently went back to his high school in Portsmouth, Ohio to speak with students about what it takes to become a West Point Cadet.

Purdy, a 2017 graduate of Portsmouth High School was back home this week, visiting with family and speaking to high school students about what it takes to become a West Point Cadet.

Purdy told about 30 students at PHS choosing the military for his studies is beneficial because, essentially he is getting about $500,000 in education, room and board without paying tuition. “It’s tuition free,” he told the students. “Free room and board, meals are free and you get a monthly stipend. It’s not much, but you don’t have to pay for much.” Read more.
