The Army West Point Women's Lacrosse Team picked up its first Patriot League win of the season after defeating Holy Cross, 19-13, on Wednesday afternoon at Michie Stadium. The Black Knights (8-3, 1-2 Patriot League) had contributions from all over the field in the program's first-ever victory over the Crusaders (3-7, 1-2 Patriot League). Jackie Brattan paced an offensive attack that saw eight different Cadets tally a score. The yearling netted a career-high six goals, while adding six draw controls and a pair of ground balls.
Olivia Carter posted her first collegiate hat trick and paired her trio of goals with an assist for four points. Manuela Cortes, Caroline Raymond, Rilee Scott and Megan Raftery each notched two goals in the contest. Raymond teamed up with Samantha Stewart as the top-two facilitators, combining to dish out seven helpers. Stewart showed her presence on the draw as well, coming away with eight draw controls. Defensively, Nia Crump, Charlotte Spencer and Scott combined for seven caused turnovers, while three other Cadets had at least one.
