Cadets Take First at Microbiology MeetingProfessor Michael Labare, Dr. George Kennedy, and research cadets attended the regional meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in Portsmouth, NH. Cadets Giovanna Ferguson-Lewis '20 (Life Science), Johannah Buehrer '20 (Life Science), Kristina Mackey '21 (Chemistry), and Michaela Labare (University of New England) won first place for student posters with their poster, "Destruction of Ascaris suum Eggs Internal Structures by Short-Chain Fatty Acids." Cadets Julia Bush '19 (Life Science) and Miguel Pantano '19 (Life Science) won third place for their poster, "Protecting the Warfighter from Pathogens."
