"It felt nice to get a win. A little bit frustrating with the way we kind of found ourselves getting to that victory. We had some things that I felt that we could have done in the last game better than we did and hopefully we've corrected some of those errors and improved as a team. We certainly are going to have to play our very best football this week against Tulane. They've got an outstanding team that is very athletic, fast and extremely well coached. The relationship that our staff has with coach Fritz's staff is very interesting. He was the coach at Georgia Southern for two years following my tenure there and he did a remarkable job. They won the league. They went undefeated in the first year he was there. It was an incredible first year as an FBS program. Jack Curtis, who is their defensive coordinator, was the defensive coordinator at Georgia Southern for the last three years I was there. We've got two coaches on our staff that played for Willie (Fritz) in college. It's an interesting dynamic with having that history with the staff. We know that they are going to be very well prepared. I've got an incredible amount of respect for Willie and the job that he's done at Tulane and for his defensive coordinator Jack Curtis, who I think is a tremendous defensive football coach. He's one of the best in the business. It's going to be a challenge. Read more.
