
Cadets Learn of African American History in the Hudson Valley

In support of a new research project at West Point Professor Laura Hooton and CPT Louisa Koebrich led Cadets on a Black History in the Hudson Valley trip. Cadets learned about African American history in Newburgh and Beacon, including an inside look at the historic AME Zion church in Newburgh, stops on the underground railroad, property owned by the Alsdorf family, and Washington’s headquarters.
