COL Hartke Present PaNE Coin to MAJ LewisCOL John Hartke visited EV377 (Remote Sensing) to present a Physics and Nuclear Engineering (PaNE) department coin to MAJ Nick Lewis (Geography and Environmental Engineering (GEnE)) in appreciation for his ongoing efforts to support the Space Community at West Point. MAJ Lewis provided unwavering support to both the FA40 community and to Space & Missile Defense Command (SMDC), and therefore to the House of PaNE. He was a key contributor during the shaping of the Assured Functional Area Transfer Program; the single inject point for the SMD COE (includes the ASPDO), 1st Space BDE and SMDC leadership to attend Branch Week in both 2019 and 2020; and played a pivotal role in the development of the SMDC-RAC Vision 2030 that was in part presented to LTG Karbler last May. Nick’s efforts ensured a seamless presentation of FA40 (and in a supporting role ADA) to the West Point community in the absence of an SMDC RAC director.
