McMahan, Kutz Earn Top-10 Finishes in 10.9 Virtual Rifle Match

McMahan, Kutz Earn Top-10 Finishes in 10.9 Virtual MatchUSA Shooting announced the scores from its 10.9 virtual match, held on Friday, October 9, and two members from the Army West Point Rifle team earned Top-10 scores in the air rifle portion. Kaitlyn Kutz earned an eighth place finish, while Lauren McMahan placed 10th.

The Black Knights had a total of seven members participate in the match, which the team shot inside of the Tronsrue Marksmanship Center.

Kutz, a firsties from Dairen, Conn., shot a score of 415.2, which paired as the fourth highest score in the Open Women category. Not far behind was junior Lauren McMahan with a mark of 413.7. The Sarasota, Fla., native had the second highest score in the Junior Women category.

Also competing in the virtual match were Emily Gay (407.7, 23rd), Aaron Flowers (49th, 399.8), Sawyer Williams (398.9, 51st), Christian Conrad (397.5, 53rd) and Spencer Gillis (396.6, 57th).
