The Army West Point Men's Gymnastics team topped ECAC foe Springfield, 378.05-371.6, in a virtual meet this past Sunday afternoon in the Gross Center. Prior to the start of the meet, Army honored its senior class of Matthew Martin, Mitchell McHugh, Joseph Minus, Prakash Nigam and Kiernan Reagan.
Army won floor exercise, 65.1-63.1. Kalvin Kingshill earned the event win with a score of 13.25. Jacob Nauman placed second with a tally of 13.1, while Mitch McHugh's 13.05 was tied for third. The Cadets claimed the pommel horse, 61.4-58.55. Martin won the event with a tally of 13.55. Army's next highest finisher was Zachary Mitchell, who posted a score of 12.6.
Army took the still rings, 63.4-60.1. Mathew Davis won the event with a tally of 13.0. Martin placed just behind Davis with a score of 12.95. Springfield narrowly won vault, 67.85-67.75. Nauman earned a first place finish with an impressive score of 14.25. Springfield's John Murphy had the second best mark at 14.0. Read more.
