Men’s Soccer Dominates in 1-1 Draw at Boston UThe Army West Point Men’s Soccer team battled host Boston University to a 1-1 double-overtime tie on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field. Army (2-3-1, 0-3-1 PL) dominated throughout the contest, outshooting host Boston U (1-2-1, 1-2-1 PL) 16-2 and drawing 10 corner kick opportunities to just two for the Terriers.

“The team earned a point today on the road and put together an attacking performance that deserved three points. We've built the right kind of momentum over the last few halves of play and they are feeling the togetherness and belief that they have in each other,” said head coach Russell Payne.

The Terriers got on the board first, however, in just the fourth minute of the contest as forward Ronaldo Marshall finished off a one-timer inside the box off a feed from Zion Balogun. Down 1-0 in the early goings, the Black Knights continued to fight and played most of the remainder of regulation in the Terriers' defensive half.

The efforts finally paid off in the 83rd minute, as D'Anthony Brown made a streaking run down the right flank, cut inside and was fouled hard just outside of the right corner of the box. Carter Kowalewski took the free kick from about 20 yards out and delivered a low drive that curled just inside the right post to even the game up, 1-1. Read more.
