Track and Field Competes in Bucknell Quad Meet
The Army West Point Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed in the Bucknell Quad meet on Sunday. The men's team finished third with 128 points and the women's team placed third with 138.
The men had a total of seven event winners and 16 top-three performances. Geoff Kirk was the Cadets' sole double-winner, claiming the shot put (17.81m) and discus (51.70m).
Men's event winners: 100m: Jon Redmond – 10.90, 800m: Peter Smith – 1:53.33, 200m: Ryan Hogan – 21.85, Shot Put: Geoff Kirk – 17.81m, Hammer Throw: Marco Risi – 62.37m, Long Jump: Kevin Kurth – 6.82m, Discus: Geoff Kirk – 51.70m.
The women's team had four events and totaled 13 top-three finishes. Emily Mikoud claimed first in two events, winning the shot put (14.01m) and Discus (48.33m).
