Women’s Tennis Bests Bucknell at Home
The Army West Point Women’s Tennis team won a hard-fought match over a good Bucknell team on Friday afternoon.
The Black Knights got off to a good start during doubles, winning two out of the three matchups. Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent won on the first court by a score of 6-3, while Paola Bou and Sophie Mckenzie posted a strong score in the second slot shutting out their opponent 6-0.
The Black Knights battled hard during singles, winning three of six matchups. Sam Dimaio led off for West Point in No. 1 singles, defeating her matchup in two bouts. Mckenzie had another great performance in singles, as she came back from a deficit and beat her opponent in three bouts. MaryJo Pidgeon rounded off the singles matchups for the Black Knights, winning the sixth slot by a score of 6-4 and 7-5. Read more.
