CDT Aikin ’21 Receives the College Recognition AwardCadet Brittany Aikin (Chemistry, 2021) received the College Recognition Award at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Mid-Hudson Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS). The award recognizes her stellar academic performance as a graduating chemistry major and her enduring commitment to research over several academic years. As an undergraduate researcher under the advisement of COL John Burpo, Cadet Aikin significantly contributed to the synthesis and study of high surface area porous noble metal nanomaterials for applications, such as catalysis and fuel cells, which has relevance for both military and civilian sectors.
