Hockey Picks Up Two Points in Shootout Win Over RITGavin Abric stepped up in a big way for the Army West Point Hockey Team (0-2-0-1, 0-1-0-1 Atlantic) saving 18 shots and making three huge shootout stops to lift the Black Knights to a shootout win over the RIT Tigers (1-1-1, 1-1-0 Atlantic). Mitch Machlitt and Anthony Firriolo provided the scoring for the Black Knights, who earned two points with the shootout victory. After falling behind 2-0 early in the second period, Army rallied back in a big way, scoring two second period goals to knot it up 12 minutes into the second frame. The first tally was courtesy of yearling Mitch Machlitt, who scored his first goal of the 2021-22 campaign off the feed from the defensive pairing of Coby Mack and Andrew Quetell. Read more.
