Hockey Skates Away with 5-1 Win Over MercyhurstArmy West Point hockey cruised to a 5-1 win over the Mercyhurst Lakers at Tate Rink. The Black Knights put 45 pucks on net in the contest and scored five goals while being backed up by goaltender CDT Justin Evenson ’23 who saved 39 shots in his second career win. CDT Eric Butte ’22 scored a pair of goals and is now tied for the team lead with nine, while CDTs Colin Bilek ’22 and Andrew Garby ’25 also notched multi-point games with two assists each. For the second consecutive week, Cadet Gabe Almeida ’25 of Army West Point Men’s Gymnastics has been named the Eastern College Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.
