CDT Almeida Garners ECAC Rookie of the WeekFor the second consecutive week, Cadet Gabe Almeida ’25 of Army West Point Men’s Gymnastics has been named the Eastern College Athletic Association Rookie of the Week. Almeida earned the award after leading the Black Knights on pommel horse with a score of 12.700 to earn fourth place in the event. The plebe has led Army on pommel horse in three of the four meets the team has competed in this season. This is the third time a cadet has won the ECAC Rookie of the Week award in the 2022 season. Army West Point hockey cruised to a 5-1 win over the Mercyhurst Lakers at Tate Rink.
