Strong Start to Track & Field Spring Season at Ben Brown InviteThe Army West Point Track & Field opened their spring season with competitive finishes at the Ben Brown Invitational hosted by Cal State Fullerton. The Army men claimed six events while ranking in the top half of most events. CDT Luke Griner ’24 captured the 800m (1:50.19) while also finishing third in the 400m and second as part of the 4x400 relay team. The Army women won five events with CDT Anna Tovkach ’22 involved in three of them. She won the 400m and 800m while finishing first in the 4x400 relay with cadets Ever Elegon ’24, Holli Chapman ’24, and Shayla Bonzelet ’24. Read more.

CDT Cerruto ’22 Named to 2022 Buster Posey Watch List

Army West Point Baseball firstie catcher CDT Cam Cerruto'22 was tabbed to the 2022 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List. Seventy-six catchers were on the initial list for the award, which is given annually to the top division one collegiate catcher. CDT Sigel ’24 Competes at NCAA Rifle Championships

CDT Claudia Sigel ’24 represented the Army West Point rifle team in smallbore at the 2022 NCAA Rifle Championships. Sigel finished 25th out of 45 competitors in smallbore with a score of 583. Sigel, who qualified for the NCAA Championships after scoring 586 in smallbore in the NCAA qualifier match against MIT had a stellar sling score of 397/400 going into standing. Read more.
