Cadets Complete Polarization Lab
Published on March 31, 2022
Cadets in COL Loucks Applied Optics PH 284 course completed their polarization lab this week. For this assignment, students made predictions on how several polarizers would affect an IR beam and then took measurements to confirm their calculations with various configurations of multiple polarizers set up by the cadets on the lab bench. Hands-on laboratory experiences like this are a pinnacle part of the Advanced Physics Major and a great way to allow cadets the opportunity to see the topics being taught within our academic curriculum.
