Women’s Tennis Sweeps Bucknell on the Road

The Army West Point Women’s Tennis Team closed out its regular season with a 4-0 victory over Bucknell at the Varsity Tennis Courts. The Black Knights (22-9, 5-2 PL) were dominant throughout the competition and limited the Bison to three points or less in each of the singles matches that were scored. Army built its lead early, taking the bottom two courts in doubles play to collect a 1-0 lead. The pair of Cadets Paola Bou ’22 and Sam DiMaio ’22 were first to finish, posting a 7-6 result at the second spot. Read more.

Women’s Rugby Battle at Tropical 7’s

Army West Point Women’s Rugby finished the last day of the Tropical 7’s Tournament with a combined record of 3-3. Army Black finished the day 2-1 and placed second at the championship match of the tournament. The Black Knights opened day with a 19-0 win over the Celtic Barbarians and followed up with a dominant 37-0 win over Davenport and a 30-0 victory over LIU to close out the day. Read more.

Cadets Conduct a Thin Wall Pressure Vessel Lab

Cadets enrolled in MC364, Mechanics of Materials, conduct a thin-walled pressure vessel lab. The cadets mounted a strain gauge rosette on a soda can to measure the pressure in the can. A time-honored CME tradition the soda was paired with the most delicious thin-walled pressure vessel, hot dogs.
