CDT Nichtern ’22 Named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year

Firstie CDT Brendan Nichtern ’22 has been selected as the 2022 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year. Nichtern becomes the second Black Knight to win the award twice and the fifth Patriot League student-athlete to win the award in consecutive seasons. Nichtern entered the 2022 season as the reigning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year after leading Army in goals (26), assists (31), and points (57) while ranking first in the conference in assists and points per game. Cadets designed a 30-foot-long, 7-foot-wide ’Thru-Truss’ pedestrian bridge in Harriman State Park. This bridge will be the fifth such effort to provide real-world experience to engineering cadets.
