“Conquer your fears, don’t let your fears conquer you.” New cadets receive classes and equipment familiarization on Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) training at West Point. They experience the “House of Tears” gas chamber to experience the potential risk should they not protect themselves correctly during a chemical attack. Thanks to the 83rd CBRN Battalion, 59th Chemical Company, U.S. Army Fort Drum, NY and the 10th Mountain Division for their support.

Cadet AIAD with Thornwillow

Cadets completed an Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) working with the publisher Thornwillow and learning about the process of publishing and manuscript-making. The AIAD culminated in a final project of hand-crafting manuscripts of Tim O’Brien’s “How to Tell a True War Story.” Out-of-classroom opportunities like this are made possible by donors supporting the Margin of Excellence.

149 Cadet-Athletes Placed on Winter-Spring Patriot League Honor Roll

The Army West Point Department of Athletics had 149 cadet-athletes earn a spot on the Patriot League’s 2021-22 Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll celebrates students for their outstanding dedication to academic excellence. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.20 GPA from the fall 2021 semester. Read more.
