Published on August 1, 2022
CDT Daniel Klotz ’25 completed the inaugural Space Weather Summer Internship program. Klotz and his team spent four weeks studying various aspects of space weather phenomena, plasma and ionospheric physics, modeling, and computational analysis. Faculty efforts included installing high-resolution space environment sensors for evaluating space weather effects at West Point and contributed to the scientific and operational understanding of space weather’s effects on unencrypted Global Positioning System (GPS) signals and navigation solution parameters.
