CDT Richey ’23 Named Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Firstie captain CDT Emma Richey ’23 was named Patriot League Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after her stellar performance in the team’s opening week of the 2022 season. Richey started in the Black Knights’ two matches, totaling 166 minutes of action. She played a critical role in Army’s 1-1 draw with UConn and in the shutout win over FDU. Richey headed in not only her first career goal but the game-winning goal off a corner kick in the cadets’ victory over FDU. Read more.

Carter became the first Black Knight to be named an AP All-American (Third Team) since 1990 after a breakout 2021 campaign.
