The Army West Point Women's Rugby Team went 4-0 Saturday on its way to winning the Brown 7s Tournament in the Black Knights second event of the spring season.
"The Army women worked very hard throughout the day to improve their quality of play," said Assistant Coach, Lara Vivolo. "As coaches, we feel they accomplished this by lowering the number of errors. It was great to see them clicking as a squad." Army scored wins over Norwich, West Chester, and Brown, before taking down Quinnipiac 24-5 to finish the day.
Army moves to 7-2 overall in 7s play this spring. Cow Sam Sullivan led the Black Knights with eight tries to extend her team lead this spring to 17. Plebe McKenzie Borchers chipped in 13 conversions, giving her 22 total through two weeks. Eleanor Burnett was second on the team with four tries on the day.
