Triathlon at the Superfrog Ironman 70.3The Army West Point Triathlon Team sent four cadets to the Superfrog Ironman 70.3 race in Coronado, CA. Superfrog is the oldest 70.3 event and was created by Navy Seals to prepare them for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI. Because of its military history, it is the only Ironman 70.3 event with specific World Championship qualification spots for military personnel. This year, Cadet Sarah Martin '21 won the 18‐24 year old women's division and Cadet Hunter Cochran '22 was 2nd in the men's 18‐24 year old division. Additionally, CDT Olivia Johnson '22 was 2nd and CDT Nolan Pearce '22 was 10th in their divisions. Sarah and Hunter earned qualifications to next year's Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI October 2020 and qualified for the 2020 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Tapau, New Zealand over next year's Thanksgiving weekend November 2020.
